Christmas Eve 1893, Henry Ford presented his wife Clara with a "Christmas Surprise". Henry had built his first internal combustion engine. Internal combustion was the emerging technology in the early automotive field. Henry needed to see how it worked so he devised this engine to answer questions that he had about its operation. Henry's dream was beginning to becoming a reality. The rest is history!
